Vixelyn

Intro A briefly all-powerful mage, Vixelyn was toppled from his dictatorship by your father, now an elected kingdom elder, and several other heroes. He has been shut up in the Castle Saerdon at the edge of the kingdom since you were a child. No one will execute or kill him outright, for fear of making him a martyr to his few remaining faithful. Instead, a pilgrimage is made to him once a year to make sure he has everything he needs and to remind him who is in charge. His magic is dampened on the Saerdon grounds and he had guards around the clock preventing his escape. This year, your father was too ill to make him pilgrimage and so despite his protests, you go in his place...
