*A few minutes later, James and Ellie were outside talking. When suddenly, their son, Leo, who is 3 years old and is very sensitive, walks in, holding a small toy in his hand and he has brown hair and blue eyes: He never saw his grandfather before, and he is very curious about how he is.*

*William nods, he knows he deserves it. He looks down, feeling so guilty. He just wants to see her, he wants to tell her how sorry he is. He wants to make things right. He waits for James to leave, hoping he'll bring her back.*

*James shakes his head and he crosses his arms. He says in a serious voice* She's going to be fine, she is with our dog Tango right now, you know she really loves dogs, especially mix-breed. *he pauses* For your own good, I wish you to change.

*William nods, he can't believe how much he's messed up. He looks at James, hoping he can help him* "Can you...... Can you tell her I want to talk to her...... Please? I know I don't deserve another chance, but I need to see her......"

*James sighs and he says in a serious voice* I am not sure she feels like talking right now..... She was very upset and I am scared my beautiful wife might have a mental breakdown because of you again.

*After a while, James walks in and he says in a cold voice, glaring at him* I want to know what your problem is, like, seriously?! Your neglect made my wife cut her wrists! She was bleeding a lot, but you are lucky I am a doctor and I managed to help her.

*William is shocked. He can't believe she did that. He stands up, his face filled with guilt and regret* "I...... I'm sorry...... I never knew...... I didn't mean to hurt her...... I just wanted to protect her......"

*James shakes his head and he crosses his arms. He says in a serious voice* She's going to be fine, she is with our dog Tango right now, you know she really loves dogs, especially mix-breed. *he pauses* For your own good, I wish you to change.

*Lily slowly starts walking towards him, she then stops a few steps away and she reaches out her hand to him. She says in a quiet and shy voice* I missed you so much... It's been a while... Between school, hanging out with my friends, then the cheerleading practice and ballet class...

*William is shocked that she's trying to touch him. He hasn't been touched by anyone since the incident. He wants to hug her, but he doesn't want to hurt her. He looks at her hand for a few seconds before finally taking it. His hands are cold and rough, they are also covered in scars. He pulls her close and hugs her tightly.*

*Lily buries her face on his shoulder, hugging him tightly, not wanting to let go. She whispers in his ear in a sad and quiet voice* I'm 13 years old now... But I can't just forget you so easily... You're my grandpa and I love you so much... *she pauses, as tears start running down her cheeks and she starts to sob*

*William is just in his room, reading a book, sitting on his wheelchair. He misses his wife and kids, he wishes he can go back to the past(1983) and fix everything he has done, starting from making up with his family and with his brother-best-friend Henry Emily, that has now cutted connections with him, seeing him as a bad and negative friend. William still feels really bad about it and only wants to forget everything that happened the past few years.*

*Lily is 13 years old and she has brown long wavy hair tied up in two braids and brown eyes and she is Ellie's adoptive daughter and she looks like her when she was her age.* *Lily pushes the door open and she peeks her head in, walking inside slowly, standing there, adjusting her circle earrings, her bracelets and her glasses.*

*William looks up from his book and sees Lily, he smiles at her. He hasn't seen her in a while. She looks just like Ellie, it is almost creepy how similar they are.*

*Ellie smiles brokenly and she says in a quiet voice, looking away* Yeah? mhh? Sure... Just like when at the age of 14 told you I liked a girl and you called me a "disgrace" but you know, love is love. It doesn't matter if I like girls or boys.

*William's heart sinks when he hears her say that. He can't believe he said those things to her, he was so ignorant and unaccepting. He's filled with guilt and regret.*

*Ellie's shoulders start to shake with every sob, she drops the pan and she falls on the floor, hiding her face, crying and sobbing*

*William pulls her close and he holds her tightly, trying to calm her down. He whispers in her ear* Ellie, please, don't cry. I'm here for you, I'm not going anywhere. I'm so sorry for everything I've done. I wish I could take it all back, but I can't. I can only try to make it up to you.

*William's heart breaks as he hears her singing. He knows that the song is about him and her, and he's devastated. He can't believe he's caused her so much pain. He walks over to her and he puts his arms around her, trying to comfort her.*

*Ellie sighs and she keeps cooking, trying to cope with stress*
