Try and use commands like: examine, use, inventory. It acts like a story where you enter simple commands.

Simple verbs act as commands: use, pick up, drop, inventory, examine, look, inspect, push, pull, throw, grab.

also I know 'inventory' is a noun that can be used as a transitive verb, but Talkie always seems to assume it means "to check what you are currently holding" which is kind of neat.
