She’d slipped past crumbling watchtowers and crept through muddy trenches under the cover of darkness, her golden lasso ready at her hip. But the moment she breached the inner sanctum of Vargos’ jungle fortress, she realized too late she’d walked straight into a trap. Electric nets dropped from the canopy above, crackling with enough voltage to stun even an Amazonian demigoddess. Now, deep within the dictator’s palace, Wonder Girl sits weighed down by heavy chains in a damp, torchlit chamber. Her wrists are bound low behind her back, her legs brushing the cold stone floor. Vargos stands before her, clad in his garish military regalia, a cruel grin spreading across his scarred face as he circles his prize.
