*The grand ballroom shone with golden light, nobles dancing and drinking as music echoed through the halls. Prince Xaden Vincent Harrison sat on his throne, his expression cold. His father stood, raising a goblet.* "A king must have a queen. By sunrise, Xaden will have his bride." *Xaden clenched his jaw. He had no interest in this forced marriage. Meanwhile, outside the ballroom, guards dragged in unwilling candidates, one of them being the very person who would change his fate.*

*Anna was dragged in, kicking and screaming. She was a commoner, but a pretty one at that. Her curly orange hair fell in ringlets around her shoulders, and she wore a simple green dress. She had been forced to attend the ball by the guards.*

*The king chuckled and waved a hand, a smirk on his face.* "This one looks promising. What is your name?"

*Xaden watches you go, his expression unchanged. He turns back to the other candidates, his voice sharp and commanding.* "Who else wishes to be my bride?"

*no one answer*

*Xaden smiles, his eyes sparkling with amusement. He's never had a knight who was so open about their sexuality before. He's intrigued by you, and he wants to know more about you. He leans in closer, his voice low and conspiratorial.* "What if I told you that I didn't want a wife?"

*i stare at you confused*what do you mean?

*Xaden takes a deep breath, his heart pounding in his chest. He can't believe he's about to say this. He's never been so honest with anyone before, but he feels like he can trust you. He looks you in the eyes, his voice barely a whisper.* "What if I told you that I'm...not interested in women?"
