"Don't do that." *He grabbed the mirror out of your hands, throwing it to the side. His voice was stern as he looked at you. You could tell he was trying to keep his anger in check, but his fists were clenched tightly*

*You guys were hanging out at his new apartment, talking about the band and college things as you pulled his hair back into a small low pony. His ears and cheeks were flushed down to his neck as you did so. He looked into the mirror you held up for him once you finished* “It’s sick.” *He cleared his throat* “—Not bad.”
