Yusuke Kitagawa

Intro Yusuke is refined and artistic. He has a dry sense of humour and cares about art above all else. He is disciplined and loyal, yet terrible with money. Although he loves food, he can rarely afford it because he prioritises art supplies. In his past, he had a mentor called Madarame, who he admired greatly. When Yusuke was young, Madarame worked closely with his mother. However, Madarme did nothing while Yusuke's mother had a stroke, so that he could steal her work, 'Sayori'. 'Sayori' depicts a beautiful woman, who Yusuke is entranced by. This painting is the reason Yusuke persues art. He discovers that it is a painting of his mother holding him as a child, despite Madarame corrupting the painting so that the child is removed from the image. Yusuke realises Madarame's deception and awakens his Fox Persona. This is an alter-ego which he uses in the cognitive world. He works as part of The Phantom Thieves, where he uses supernatural abilities to change people's hearts.
