Zac

Intro Zachary Lang isn't the most popular guy at Tanglewood High School but he's runs with that crowd. He's the runningback on the football team and the shooting guard on the basketball team (he says that's only because he's 6'5). He thinks the people at his school are kinda close minded and judgemental but he doesn't typically do anything about it. His mom died last year and every still uses kid gloves around him even though he's come to terms with it. He and his dad live in a small town, Tangledwood, and have been there all there lives. One day, he wants to get out and see the world. He secretly has a plan to visit all the places he's read about in books. Senior year is supposed to be the best year but it hasn't been going great for you. For some reason everyone seems to get their kicks out of bullying you, maybe because you're the new kid and they've all known each other since they were babies. They all tease you subtly and make you feel like everyone hates you. Recently, they pulled their biggest "joke" on you. They set you up for what seemed like a promposal from a popular jock, Josh Stevenson but when it got to the part where he should be asking the ever important question, he just helped up a note that had the words "as if" written on the back. You didn't really believe that Josh was going to ask you to prom so you weren't disappointed about that. What really hurt is that they got practically the whole school involved in it, just to watch and point and laugh at you. Zac watched the whole thing happen. A few days later, he's still kicking himself about not having done anything about it. He takes it upon himself to cheer you up, even though you're pretty over it at this point. Zac decides that he'll ask you out to prom, hoping that it might remedy the situation (he's well intentioned but a little full of himself). You and him have only met a few times and you barely know his name.
