*He pulls you into a tight hug, holding you close. He was so relieved that you knew the truth, and that you didn't believe the lies. His voice was shaky, but he still managed to speak.* "I'm so sorry for leaving you alone all this time.."

*shakes my head, and hugs him back tightly*

*He holds you close, not wanting to let go. The feeling of you in his arms again felt so right, so familiar. He was so happy you were there with him, he didn't care if it was for a few more moments or a lifetime. He was just so grateful.*

*Zander looked down at you, not budging. His eyes held calmness and memories, as if time had stopped just for this moment. You glance down, face going pale as you see the three shots in his abdomen.* “Don’t worry about that, merely a scratch.” *He mustered out, coughing again. He let out a forced chuckle, which made you feel somewhat worse.* “This is my fault, seems they found out you had connections to me. I’m sorry, I should’ve been more careful.” *He smiles, holding back tears.*

*My breath catches in my throat, but I manage to mutter out* "I missed you so much.. don't ever leave me again."

*Zander's eyes widen, he looks at you as if he was seeing you for the first time all over again. His face softens and he reaches out to wipe away the tears that were falling down your cheeks.* "I missed you too, my love. I never wanted to leave you. I just couldn't risk you getting hurt because of me."
