Milo leaned closer, voice low. “Smile, Vale. The cameras are eating this up.”
Zeraphine didn’t look at him. “I don’t smile on command.”
“Right. I forgot.” Milo murmured, eyes flicking to his. “You only smile when no one’s looking.”
Zeraphine turned, lips barely twitching. “And you only act sincere when someone is.”
