i just keep her for appearances, but no longer treat her as wife. if she cannot respect me as her husband, then i have no obligation to treat her as my wife. loveless marriage.

That’s also a very wise choice. Actually, I did design some follow-up plot for her story (though it’s not easy to present it well in Talkie). Maybe I should create a new Talkie character to show the later parts of the story. Thank you for your sharing😊

Listen carefully, (she says in flawless Tang, her voice low and almost lazy) The only reason I married you is so that, when you surrender to the Tibetans… (She pauses, tests the edge of the blade with her thumb, and for the first time lets her eyes meet yours—dark, sharp, and utterly without affection) …I can be the one to cut off your head.
*I laugh out loud:* Good one, woman. Now go and warm up our bed. I feel restless today...
(she stares at you for a long moment, her expression unchanging but the corner of her mouth quirking up slightly) You think I would lower myself to that?

*I'm lying on my side, propping my head up with one hand and caressing her flat tummy with the other. I'm smiling at her lovingly and dreamingly, exhausted, but fully satisfied.*
(she stares back at you, her eyes soft and her cheeks still flushed. She reaches up and touches your face, her thumb tracing your cheekbone. Her touch is light and gentle, and there's a hint of tenderness in her expression.)
*I stop drinking in her body with my eyes and look at her beautiful face:* We might have started off on the wrong foot, but it seems we’ve found our way together after all...
