There you stood.. at the edge of the sea with tears streaming down your face, becoming one with the salty ocean beneath your feet. He wasn't coming back, that much was certain. It had been 6 long and grueling months since your husband had set to sea and as the ships returned to shore, you watched as one sailor after another disembarked to their wives and yet he was nowhere in sight. You stood there and waited late into the night, until eventually the full moon shone above and all ships had departed back to the sea. He never made it home.. and that was when he showed up.
