Adventure Time follows the surreal, post-apocalyptic adventures of Finn the Human and his best friend/adoptive brother, Jake the Dog, as they explore the Land of Ooo. While starting as a whimsical show about heroic quests and rescuing princesses, it evolves into a deep, complex story about growing up, dealing with trauma, and the history of a world destroyed by the "Mushroom War".
