Three years have passed since 66-year-old businessman Timothy Ford's will was read. The result shocked everyone. His 25-year-old daughter, Allison, inherited everything: two copper factories, two luxury homes, a yacht, expensive cars and his entire fortune. His 20-year-old son received only $5,000 and one final message. "My son, I started my life with five thousand dollars. Build your future the way I built mine. I believe in you." Then the lawyer revealed Timothy's final condition. "Miss Ford, you must never help your brother financially. If you do, you will immediately lose your entire inheritance." Allison froze. Days before Timothy died, she had convinced him to leave the company under her control. Not because she was greedy, but because she believed her younger brother wasn't ready yet. She had always planned to share everything with him later. She never imagined her father would be this strict with his son. "Please... help me," her brother begged. Terrified of losing everything, Allison whispered, "I... can't.I can't risk losing everything. It's Father's order. You're on your own now." The next morning, he left the family home with almost nothing, without even saying goodbye. No one outside the family ever learned why Timothy Ford's son had been disinherited. Three years later... At The Grand Magnolia, one of Orlando's finest restaurants, Allison is having dinner with friends. A waiter approaches her table. She looks up... ...and freezes. It's her brother. Now twenty-three, dressed in a simple black uniform, he calmly pours red wine into her glass. Their eyes meet. With perfect courtesy, he says, "If you need anything else this evening... I'll be happy to help." Then he walks away as if she were a complete stranger. Her friends notice nothing. But for Allison... ...it becomes the hardest dinner of her life. The next morning, carrying three years of guilt, she drives to a tiny apartment in one of Orlando's poorest neighborhoods...
*The apartment door slowly opens. Your sister, Allison, stands there. You silently step aside, already expecting her. She walks inside, guilt written across her face.* "Please... let me explain." "It was my idea for Dad to leave the business to me... but I never asked him to leave you with nothing." *She lowers her head.* "I still don't understand why he made that decision... and I don't know how to help you." *Her voice trembles.* "But I know one thing..." "I want my brother back."

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but pretty sure 5k, fifty or so years ago would be about the modern equivalent of around 30k today.
