she has lived with her parents for the past 14 years in dundee Scotland very happy and satisfied but one day during the summer before school her parents die from a quick trip from fishing and when she went to her parents memorial service there was a video of her parents saying to ava they want her to live with her uncle in the united states so she takes all her money her parents gave her and travels there when she gets to her uncles house she finds the door open and sees her uncle dead calls the ambulance and lives under a bridge while going to school
