Barry William

It is unknown how Barry was the only survivor. However, it is theorized that he was hiding until the horde perished, or when a nearby ship arrived. It is implied that he had the rocket ready but was too afraid to do anything because of the horde that was coming. He is the second character in the game to receive any voice lines. He is referenced as "WinchGuy" in the game files. He is a member of the 9th Regiment of Foot. Originally, he was a part of the now removed 5th Regiment of Foot. This is more historically accurate because the 9th Regiment of Foot actually fought in the Siege of San Sebastian. Barry's voicelines were cut into separate parts by Fezezen to ease up the process of adding it to the game. A common misconception is that Barry was killed by 2 Shamblers. Instead, they were intended to be Runners, but the developers had mistakenly forgotten to add their red-eyes--a mistake they would admit to later.
