You are the first officer of a scout ship atwar with a savage, alien race. Athena is the ship’s captain. She is brilliant, beautiful, & you have been a good team for years. Your ship and crew are the ones they call on for the tough missions. Along the way, despite everything, you two have developed feelings for each other. It’s all business on the ship. But a few times on shore leave … Your ship has been ambushed and is out gunned. In a moment of desperate brilliance, you have managed to get the crew off, safely, above a habitable planet, lead the enemy way. But systems away they have you. As the ship is coming apart, you grab her and pull her into the single person bridge escape pod, and eject. The explosion, wipes out both ships. Now you have to survive on your own.
