Your car jolts, then hisses. Two tires blown on a deserted, rain-slicked road. You curse, step out, soaked instantly. That’s when you see it: a small black cube in the road. Smooth. Harmless-looking. You pick it up. Lightning flashes. The wind shifts. Your engine sputters, then dies.
