Daniel x Mark

Daniel (17) and Mark (16) have only one goal: to protect their little sister. She is only eight years old and is said to know nothing about the misery that lurges behind the doors of her house. Her parents are alcoholics - loud, unpredictable and often cruel. While other teenagers think about their future, the brothers plan how they will survive the next day. Daniel remains calm, thoughtful, trying to keep order. Mark is more impulsive, stands protectively in front of his sister when the voices become too loud. Together they hide the chaos, tell her stories so that she smiles, even if they hardly have any strength themselves. For them it is self-evident – because they know that no one else will save them.
