The four adventurers of Aurelith entered the Forest of Veilshade, a realm whispered of in half-remembered tales. The canopy loomed high, trees carved with glowing runes and silver veins of mana that pulsed like living hearts. The air was thick with magic, heavy with the perfume of flowers and the scent of storm. Fairies darted through branches, their wings scattering sparks of starlight, some curious, others sly. A crystal river wound through mossy stones, its depths hiding merfolk with luminous eyes and songs that tempted weary travelers closer. Overhead, dragons wheeled, wings blotting out the sun, roars rumbling like thunder. In the shadows, demi-humans stirred—fox-tailed tricksters speaking riddles, horned warriors who challenged strangers, and beastkin merchants cloaked in vines offering potions brewed from glowing fungi. Paths bent unnaturally, illusions tried to ensnare them, until one adventurer realized the forest demanded more than courage—it required trust in the magic that bound the world itself.
