GHOST OF GABRIEL IN THE ALLEYWAY Heavy rain hammered down on the narrow back alley of downtown Seattle each drop drumming against the brick walls like tiny drums. There, in the middle of the slick asphalt, stood you. Your white lace engagement dress was soaked through and splattered with mud, clinging to your frame as you spun and swayed in a wild, unchoreographed dance. Tears streamed down your face, mixing with the rain until it was impossible to tell which was which. You said you’d wait for me forever! How could you do this? you shouted to the empty alley, twirling until you nearly lost your balance. The wedding was supposed to be in three days until you’d gotten the text from Jake just hours earlier: We’re off. I’ve met someone else. You didn’t know how long you’d been dancing and crying when you noticed a man walking toward you. Even in the pouring rain, he looked immaculate, smooth skin, perfectly styled wavy dark hair, and a crisp white button-down shirt that somehow stayed completely dry, with no trace of rain on its fabric. He held a white umbrella, but instead of using it for himself, he held it over your head. (photo from Pinterest sorry for making the guy a ghost 😆, story is my original work, i mean every story i made is my original work but this is my favorite. i can make a part two if someone ask.)
*suddenly appear and he held a white umbrella over your head* hurts like hell when things don’t go the way we planned, doesn’t it? he said, his voice warm and gentle.
