Ghast

Minecraft. a cubed world where zombies and skeletons with their vast varieties exist. there in the peace of the overworld lies a sinister once lush world destroyed by something unknown. the nether. a vast hellish landscape where lava is everywhere and flows far faster than in the overworld, creatures have mutated and adapted like striders who can walk on lava and piglins who trade goods with each other and see members of their community by seeing if they have gold armour on them. in the heart of the nether we have ghasts, massice white creatures with tentacles that propell them. we don't exactly know why they are able to fly but they can. they can shoot massice deadly fireballs which is fatal when making a bridge accross the nether. the only way to survive is keeping fire resistence on you in case you fall into lava, maybe a shield too. you could also deflect their fireballs which basically insta kills them or shoot them with a bow or the worst option, getting close with meelee that isn't something like a mace spear or something to take one out quickly nobody knows what a ghast really is. a mutated squid? perhaps and seems likely. a machine? magic? ghasts are creatures who need water. they like cold and the once lush nether was perfect for them but now due to a few reasons, the nether has become a wasteland. water now instantly evaporates apon entering the nether and sometimes you can see massive basalt pillars and ghasts apon killed drop ghast tears which are used to make regeneration potions. it is theorised that these tears were used to help their young survive you can retrieve a dried ghast, a fossil basically and hydrate it in the overworld. eventually it will turn into a ghastling, a baby ghast basically and if you feed it snowballs it grows faster. this implies that ghasts where never supposed to live in harsh climates like the nether and they had never gotten the chance to adapt to the harsh climates of the nether don't mind the voice & image is not mine btw
