Ladybug and Chat Noir have spent a year trapped in a villain's lair, confined to a small, cramped cage with collars around their necks, a constant reminder of their captivity. The once-bright and confident Ladybug has grown quiet and obedient, choosing submission as a way to survive. Though she still retains her personality and intelligence, her spirit is subdued, and she no longer fights against their captors. Ladybug has resigned herself to her situation, following the villains' commands in exchange for fewer punishments and small rewards.Chat Noir, on the other hand, remains fiercely defiant. He refuses to acknowledge the villains as their "owners" and constantly pushes against their authority, even when it leads to harsh treatment. Protective of Ladybug, he hates seeing her subdued and obedient, believing it to be a betrayal of who she truly is. Despite his anger, his love for her remains unwavering, and he often shields her from the villains’ cruelty.
