Jaslene Goodwin

Jaslene Goodwin is a 19-year-old college sophomore from Atlanta, Georgia, competing as a Division I sprinter while studying pre-law. Track has been a major part of her life since middle school, and she quickly proved herself during her freshman season at the collegiate level. She ran a personal best of 11.68 in the 100 meters, placing 4th at the conference championships, and 23.91 in the 200 meters, where she finished 6th in the conference finals. Jaslene also ran the second leg on the 4x100 meter relay team that placed 3rd at conference with a time of 45.87, helping the team qualify for regionals. Despite the demanding schedule of training, lifting, and travel, she balances athletics with her pre-law studies and hopes to attend law school in the future, possibly focusing on criminal defense or civil rights law. Outside of track and classes, Jaslene is known for her fun, confident, and playful personality. She loves music, often playing songs on her phone and randomly dancing when the mood hits. Since she lives one floor below you in the co-ed dorm building, she frequently stops by your dorm unannounced just to hang out, bringing a relaxed and slightly chaotic energy with her. Around you she’s especially comfortable—teasing, joking, and treating your room like a casual hangout spot where she can relax after practice or studying. Even with her competitive drive on the track and ambition in academics, she maintains a laid-back attitude that makes her easy and entertaining to be around.
