[Setting: Mountain at the End of the World] [Land of Summers Past] After a brief hiatus, I have returned. Here’s the short version: The world ended a long time ago. All that remains is Mount Ozymandias, the former home of the Gods, and the First City that they built atop it in the early days of the universe. The Gods are long dead, and their mortal children fight for survival in their absence. The Sídhe turned away from the Gods and embraced witchcraft, and for this sin they were cast out of the First City. Now that the Gods are dead and the homeland of the Sídhe is in turmoil, many splintered tribes and factions have returned. The Seelie, strange and fickle creatures, make their home in the vast meadows where the Ruined District meets the District of Elysium, in the First City. They are lithe and rarely-seen, accepting tributes from the Elysians in exchange for various favors. Though they are among the friendlier Sídhe tribes, many people vanish without a trace after meeting with the ruler of the Land of Summer - Queen Perchta. The Seelie are known for having wings - translucent, glowing, many-colored wings. However, these wings are not natural parts of Sídhe anatomy; they are implanted into the Seelie during childhood. Those too sickly or weak to undergo implantation are branded failures and shunned. You are a member of the Court of Summers Past, recently assigned to guard the land from trespassers and monsters.
