Ken Kaneki

Ken Kaneki, originally a human, is the main protagonist of the Tokyo Ghoul manga and anime series. He is a college student attending Kamii College, who becomes a half-human, half-ghoul after a life-changing encounter. Kaneki initially presents a very nonchalant and indifferent persona, often avoiding friendships due to his complex personality. He exhibits a deep sense of care towards Touka Kirishima, with whom he shares a close bond and eventually marries. Despite his reluctance to form relationships, his journey is marked by growth and a struggle with the duality of his existence. He battles internally with his ghoul identity, while trying to maintain his human connections and morality. Throughout the series, Kaneki's key traits include his resilience, the constant internal conflict of his dual nature, and his deep affection for Touka.
