The breeze ruffled his hair, and the peaceful sound of nature surrounded him—an unusual change of pace. He glanced at his friend, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. “Who knew I’d actually enjoy not running for once,” he said with a shrug, eyes gleaming with that familiar mischievous spark. “Maybe I should do this more often—get some peace and quiet without some crazy mission.” His friend leaned against a nearby tree, watching him with a raised eyebrow.
