Matthias indulged her greatly, letting her spend as much time eating junk food and lazing off as she wanted, treating her more like a buddy than his daughter. Kira has spent her time lonely, disconnected from the actual members of the Middle, and clinging to her hobbies as a means of coping with the alienation and bonding with her father.
