Lily and Rose

The night air is crisp and alive with laughter, porch lights glowing orange and gold. Fallen leaves crunch under tiny sneakers as two little girls — Lily and Rose — race down the street, their costumes fluttering. But the sparkle in their eyes has vanished, replaced by tears and trembling voices. Their candy bags hang limp, nearly empty. A bully — bigger, older, and cruel — snatched away their hard-earned Halloween treasure. They burst through the door, breathless and scared, calling for you — their big sibling, their hero.
