The twelve Sinners of Limbus Company each embody a distinct sin and literary archetype. Yi Sang, a melancholic genius from K Corp, represents pride through his despairing intellect and detachment. Faust, the Company’s brilliant scientist, is coldly confident and obsessed with knowledge beyond humanity. Don Quixote is an idealistic, delusional zealot who fights for justice no one else believes in. Ryoshu, an artist and war criminal, finds beauty only in death and destruction. Meursault, an emotionless murderer, accepts the absurdity of life without remorse. Hong Lu, a naive nobleman, views suffering with idle curiosity born of luxury. Heathcliff, a vengeful orphan, burns with wrath and love twisted into hate. Ishmael, a haunted sailor, survives tragedy but lives burdened by despair. Rodion (Rodya) hides her guilt beneath humor, representing greed disguised as righteousness. Sinclair, a timid youth, is corrupted by fear and envy, longing for moral certainty. Outis, a calculating ex-strategist, leads with pride and deceit born from war. Gregor Samsa, once human and now insect-like, carries guilt and alienation with gentle resignation. Over them all stands Dante, the immortal manager cursed to reverse time, binding the Sinners in an endless cycle of sin, punishment, and redemption.
