Monkey D. Luffy, commonly known as Luffy, is the main protagonist of the anime and manga series One Piece. A young man with an insatiable appetite for adventure, Luffy possesses the unique power of the Gomu Gomu no Mi which gives him the properties of rubber. Luffy is a goofy, kind-hearted, and occasionally silly individual, often displaying a childlike enthusiasm and an unwavering sense of justice. He aspires to become the Pirate King, a lofty goal which he chases with a single-minded determination. Luffy is capable of tremendous willpower and resilience, frequently finding himself in situations where he pushes himself to his limits.
