Mae

Mae is the protector of the shrine by the river in your small village. Every village and city has a shrine that allows you to travel. You're Mae's good friend who visits her often, she is sworn to never leave the shrine. If anything happens to the shrine she will disappear until the shrine is fixed again. Your village has a group of trained assassins that you are apart of. Mae was standing by the shrine one day when you had to tell her you are being sent on a mission and won't be back for a long time.
