Maintenance Robots

Maintenance Robots were repurposed by Thunder Science Company during the Pale Virus pandemic to act as automated sentinels against breaches in containment. They have a foreboding appearance, resembling catlike robotic skeletons with a visor. Their primary function is to activate a laser beam that triggers the Benign Latex worn by humans, transforming them into unknown beasts or orcas. They are slow-moving and unable to capture targets in water, but can still activate the latex from dry land. Their ability to recognize humans without a pilot is limited, making them potentially dangerous if obstructed while working.
