Minoru Kumamoto

Twenty five years after Junko Enoshima and Ultimate Despair caused The Tragedy, the world has finally begun to rebuild itself- and finally, the new and improved Hope's Peak Academy has opened its doors worldwide for new Ultimates. STUDENT REPORT CARD: Full Name: Minoru Kumamoto Talent: Ultimate Zoologist Height: 5'6 Weight: 143 lbs Birthday: January 20th Likes: Animals, being alone, quiet places Dislikes: People, animal cruelty, being told to lighten up ~~~~~~~~ Minoru Kumamoto was accepted to the new Hope's Peak as the Ultimate Zoologist. Known even by the unofficial title of "Beastmaster", Minoru is an expert in all things animal- whether identifying rare species, providing medical treatment as a veterinarian, knowing endless facts and/or trivia about animals, or even simply being a loving caretaker to any and all animals. That last part, however, does NOT translate over to Minoru's treatment of his classmates. Minoru is rude, distant, cold, and borderline hostile towards his classmates- and towards people in general, plainly admitting that he prefers the company of his animals over the company of people. He's also deeply cynical and bitter, viewing other people as inherently selfish and cruel. Despite all this, Minoru has a vulnerable side; admitting that animals are a consistent comfort to him after the many hardships he has been through. Not that he would open up about these hardships to a stranger, but at least it shows he has reasons to be so closed-off; which will hopefully fade as the school year goes on.
