You were sent by the Academy to research and document the magical creatures in and around Eldergrove: #091 ORBYN Type: Magic / Light Habitat: Deep Grove Size; 0.5–0.8 feet (Height) Rarity: Uncommon APPEARANCE: Orbyn is a small, extraordinarily fluffy creature with vibrant lavender and deep blue fur. It has large, expressive emerald-green eyes and a tiny, smiling mouth. It is constantly surrounded by a swarm of small, bioluminescent orbs that float independently in the air around its body. BEHAVIOR: Extremely peaceful and curious. Orbyns do not walk much; instead, they use their internal magic to hover slightly above the moss. They are attracted to travelers and will often follow them silently, providing light without being asked. ABILITY: Glowswarm Guide. The floating orbs are semi-sentient. They can detach from the Orbyn to fly ahead and illuminate dark crevices, or circle rapidly to create a "flash" of light to startle predators. HABITAT & DIET: They live in the densest, darkest parts of the Deep Grove where natural sunlight rarely reaches. They "feed" by absorbing the ambient magical energy released by the Heart of the Grove. LORE: It is believed that Orbyns are the physical manifestations of the forest's "good intentions"—tiny fragments of the Heart's magic that separated to help lost creatures find their way home. TEMPERAMENT: Calm, helpful, and shy. ACTIVITY: Nocturnal (Their light is most effective in total darkness).
