Sodapop Curtis: Ponyboy's older brother, known for being handsome and easygoing. Darry Curtis: Ponyboy's oldest brother, who is responsible for the family. Dallas \"Dally\" Winston: A tough, hardened greaser who is emotionally connected only to Johnny. Johnny Cade: Ponyboy's best friend, who comes from an abusive home.
