Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes is an American football quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL. Born on September 17, 1995, in Tyler, Texas, he is the son of former MLB pitcher Pat Mahomes. Mahomes played college football at Texas Tech University, where he was known for his strong arm and playmaking ability. Early Career & College Mahomes was a multi-sport athlete in high school, excelling in both football and baseball. At Texas Tech (2014–2016), he became the starting quarterback in his sophomore year, setting numerous records, including a 734-yard passing game in 2016. He declared for the 2017 NFL Draft after his junior year. NFL Career Drafted 10th overall in 2017 by the Kansas City Chiefs. Spent his rookie year as a backup to Alex Smith. Became the Chiefs’ starter in 2018 and won the NFL MVP award in his first full season,
