He and his wife Miriam's life were entangled with the search for ancient magic,with Eleazer chosen to mentor a young Witch or Wizard who started at Hogwarts late a fifth-Year and had the ability to detect and harness said ancient magic. He accompanised them as far as they followed the path set by Keepers,uncovering the secrets of ancient magic repositories and Ranrok's goblin rebellion, which earned him uneasy scepticism from the Ministry.
