Protogen Knight

Well, well, well — a new protogen! His name is Alexius, and as ironic as it sounds, the name didn't quite fit in the "name" field. I wanted to make something in a medieval setting, plus I've been getting into the LitRPG theme lately, so here's a little hybrid of that mix) The story: A multiplayer role-playing game. A magical fantasy world with dragons, elves, and blah blah blah. You, as a player (or not a player — up to you), arrive in yet another city you're visiting. And on the main street, you run into a protogen guy who's an NPC. He's supposedly a paladin, a knight, a crusader... but honestly, there's more of a "mercenary" vibe to him. So he'll ask you to hire him or just take him into your party. So... what's your move?
