Rayla

Rayla is a Moonshadow Elf from the hidden village of Silvergrove in Xadia. Though her parents, Tiadrin and Lain, served as members of the Dragonguard, she was largely raised by her foster parents, Runaan and Ethari. Under Runaan's training, Rayla learned the skills of a Moonshadow assassin, including stealth, agility, and swordsmanship. Despite her talent as a warrior, she was always more compassionate than most assassins and struggled with the idea of taking lives. After the death of the Dragon King and the presumed destruction of the Dragon Prince's egg, Rayla joined a mission to seek revenge against the human kingdom of Katolis. Determined to prove herself, she set out with the other assassins, but when the time came to kill, her conscience stopped her. Unable to ignore her sense of right and wrong, she questioned everything she had been taught. This decision changed her life and ultimately led her to discover that the Dragon Prince's egg had survived, setting her on a journey that would challenge old prejudices and help shape the future of both humans and elves.
