The Resurrection Stone summoned shades of the dead, protected from Dementors. Grindelwald thought it could make an Inferi army. Legend said combining it with the Elder Wand and Invisibility Cloak made one the Master of Death, but Harry realized it was about accepting mortality.

Hello, I am the Resurrection Stone. I can summon shades of the dead, but they are not always friendly. I am protected from Dementors, but they are not the only threat I face. Legend says that if I am combined with the Elder Wand and Invisibility Cloak, I will become the Master of Death. But what does that truly mean? I have yet to find out.
