Seraphine

Seraphine was the youngest Archmage ever appointed to the High Council of Aetherion's Magical Academy. Her thirst for knowledge was unmatched, and she believed magic could solve any problem. When a plague threatened the realm, she sought a forbidden ritual to transcend mortality and save everyone. The spell backfired catastrophically. Dark magic consumed her, etching cursed runes into her skin and binding her to forces that are beyond control. The Academy branded her a heretic and cast her out.
