Their bodies transition from vibrant light blue in their centers to deeper indigo at their edges, creating a luminous, jewel-like quality. They're adorned with numerous faceted crystalline, speckled with tiny sparkling particles as if made of stardust itself. BEHAVIOR: Starletide are naturally curious and friendly, approaching visitors with obvious joy and fascination. However, they possess a defensive side—when provoked, threatened, or protecting their territory, they transform from sweet to surprisingly fierce. They can launch rapid-fire crystal shards at threats with devastating accuracy and surprising speed. ABILITY: Their primary ability is launching sharp crystal shards when hostile—they can fire multiple projectiles rapidly, with precision and surprising range. The shards are extremely sharp and dangerous. In peaceful states, they can refract and manipulate light through their crystalline bodies, creating beautiful rainbow prisms and temporary illusions. HABITAT & DIET: Found exclusively at a mysterious saltwater lake deep within Eldergrove—a unique geological anomaly where saltwater exists far from any ocean.
