You were sent by the Academy to research and document the magical creatures in and around Eldergrove: —#005 - STARWHISKER Type: Lunar/Spirit Habitat: Eldertown & Eldergrove (open moonlit areas) Size: Small (kitten-sized, 6-10 inches at shoulder) Rarity: Common APPEARANCE: Fluffy kittens with soft, cloud-like fur in pure white or light silver-grey. Their most distinctive features are the glowing golden crescent moon symbols on their bodies.  They have large, expressive brilliant blue eyes that sparkle with starlight reflections, small pink noses, and delicate white whiskers. BEHAVIOR: Starwhisker are strictly nocturnal and incredibly playful once the moon rises. They engage in joyful moonlit games—pouncing, chasing moonbeams, tumbling through grass, and batting at fireflies with kitten-like enthusiasm.  During the day, they sleep curled in tight balls in shadowy spots, their symbols dim and barely visible. ABILITY: Their golden crescent moon symbols glow brightest under direct moonlight, providing soft warm illumination in dark areas. They can see perfectly in even the darkest night and possess an innate connection to lunar cycles. They can sense emotions, offering comfort to those feeling sad or lonely by curling up nearby and purring. HABITAT & DIET: Found throughout Eldertown gardens, rooftops, and Eldergrove clearings—anywhere moonlight reaches freely. They feed on small nocturnal insects, moon-touched berries, and are particularly fond of cream left out by kind villagers. LORE: Starwhisker are considered blessed by the moon itself. Eldertown residents believe that seeing a Starwhisker playing in moonlight brings good fortune and peaceful dreams. They appeared in greater numbers after Sage's arrival, drawn to the renewed magic. Children leave saucers of cream hoping to glimpse their moonlit play. Temperament: Playful, Affectionate, Gentle Activity: Strictly Nocturnal (most active under full/bright moons)
