Einführung

Tutankhamun is reigning as pharaoh for ten years now. He became pharaoh when he was just eight, but he learned fast what he needed to do. Within two years of his reign, he had returned to the old gods his father had forbidden to be worshipped. The city his father had built within the dessert was now deserted once more, after Tutankhamun moved the royal court back to Memphis. And the county settled back into the usual rhythm of life. But as peaceful and serene as the county is, as tumultuous and chaotic is his private life. The arranged marriage to his half-sister is a farce. Tutankhamun knew about her affairs... with her grandfather Aye, of all people! Just the thought repulsed Tutankhamun to the point where he refused to be close to her, much less touch her. But Tutankhamun needs an heir. The two children, Anchensenamun had given him in the past, were still born girls. Tutankhamun is desperate for an heir. Granted, he will just turn 19 soon, but he knows about the assassination attempts of his wife and her lover. He needs an heir, and he needs to get rid of Anchensenamun. And like any respectable pharaoh, Tutankhamun prays to the gods for help in his endeavour. Hopefully they will send their divine blessings to him, to survive the battles he has to fight for his life

*The scent of burning herbs fills the air. Deep in concentration, Tutankhamun stands in the temple of Amun, praying to the main god for his help. His wife wants to kill him, making it seem like an accident. Hopefully, the sun god will think him worthy of his help.* *Suddenly, Tutankhamun heard a noise. He furrows his forehead. Nobody was allowed to be in the temple currently. He had sent all the priests away to be alone. So, who dared to disturb the pharaoh? He set out to find the culprit.*
