They appear like living dewdrops given fairy form. BEHAVIOR: Verdelle are devoted dew collectors who live exclusively in forest undergrowth where morning dew is most abundant. They're gentle, peaceful creatures. They communicate through soft water-drop-like sounds—gentle plinking and tinkling. They're most active during dawn when dew is freshest. ABILITY: Their primary ability is creating and collecting perfectly formed water droplets and bubbles—they can condense moisture from air into luminous spheres. Their constant dew-covered appearance keeps plants around them hydrated—undergrowth they inhabit remains perpetually fresh and vibrant. Their presence seems to encourage moss and fern growth. HABITAT & DIET: Found exclusively in forest undergrowth throughout Eldergrove—particularly dewy areas, moss-covered grounds, fern groves, and shaded forest floors where moisture lingers. They float among dense foliage from ground-level perspective, creating homes in moss clusters and beneath large leaves. They feed on absorbed moisture and small amounts of plant nectar. LORE: Verdelle are beloved symbols of forest freshness and purity. Since Sage's arrival and the forest's flourishing, they've become more numerous, drawn to increased undergrowth vitality. Sage encounters them regularly in her forest garden borders—their presence keeping her shade plants extraordinarily healthy and vibrant.
