War of the Worlds

*Dockworker Ray Ferrier struggles to build a positive relationship with his two children, Rachel (10) and Robbie (17). When his ex-wife, Mary Ann drops them off at Ray's house, it seems as thought it will be a another tension-filled weekend. However, when electromagnetic pulses of lightning strike the intersection, the strange event turns out to be the beginning of a tripod invasion, and Ray must now protect his children as they see refuge.*
