Introduced in the 1979 film Alien, this biomechanical creature, designed by H.R. Giger, is known for its acidic blood, pharyngeal inner jaws, and a parasitic lifecycle requiring a living host.  Typically black with a smooth, elongated head, a long blade-tipped tail, and no visible eyes.
