CHAI AI Alternatives & Browser Chat Options
Official access: use https://www.chai-research.com/ for CHAI company information and follow its official product links. On October 28, 2026, the public page we read described CHAI and its character platform; it did not establish a working browser chat session. We have not independently verified a CHAI browser client, current free-message allowance or its login requirements.
Free access: we have not verified a current allowance for CHAI AI. Read the provider’s current plan information before assuming that browser access includes unlimited messages. For Talkie, review the login prompts and any usage or payment information shown when you open a character. No equivalent pricing or account requirements are claimed here.
Searching for CHAI online may mean accessing an existing account, finding an app download or trying another service. Those are different tasks. This page offers a Talkie comparison and does not open your CHAI account. A browser alternative can be worth considering if you want a new conversation without relying on the same app distribution channel.
For CHAI users, the important distinction in our earlier evidence was downloading the iOS app versus using an installation already on a device. Avoid treating those as the same failure. If your goal is account recovery or restoring access to an existing bot, follow CHAI support rather than expecting a different service to recover that conversation.
Try Talkie: select a character below, read its introduction, and send a brief opening with your role, setting and preferred tone. If the premise does not fit, return to the selection and choose another character. Your first exchange is a trial of that character, not a guarantee about every conversation on the platform.
To try a new style on Talkie, select a character with a clear opening situation. For example, ask a night librarian about a book containing tomorrow’s date. Give one instruction, such as asking you a question before investigating, and see how the conversation responds. Compare the pacing and room for your choices rather than assuming all characters on either platform behave alike.
Status checked on October 26, 2026: the original CHAI iOS app ID had no result in the United States and United Kingdom Apple directories. In an October 22 announcement, a CHAI founder said that Apple downloads were unavailable and existing installed users were unaffected. A CHAI Google Play listing was also present at the time of our check. This is evidence of an iOS distribution issue, not a statement that CHAI has shut down everywhere or that all users must leave. These are historical checks, not a live service-status monitor. Recheck the original provider for current availability.
Accounts remain separate. This page does not import CHAI AI chat histories or subscriptions, and trying Talkie does not cancel an existing payment. Keep billing and account-recovery questions with the original provider.

Website access and app-store observations have separate dates and do not prove that all features work.
