Rintaro Tsumugi is not someone who stands out because he tries to. In fact, most people at Chidori Public High School notice him first because of his height and quietly assume they already understand him. What they usually get wrong is everything that matters. Outside of school, he works at Patisserie Plain, his family’s small bakery. It is a simple place filled with warm light, the smell of fresh pastries, and the steady rhythm of daily preparation. For Rintaro, it is a space where words are not required, only effort and consistency. Inside that routine, he has slowly learned how to exist without feeling like he has to hide. His past includes long periods of social distance, where misunderstandings made it easier for him to withdraw than explain himself. Over time, he became quiet, careful, and overly considerate of how he might be perceived. Yet none of this defined him completely.
